The ZAP extra oral evacuation is a mobile extra oral unit that can be positioned in a way that doesn’t interfere with the practitioner’s line of sight or hand positioning.

With the Zerosol Air Purifier (ZAP) system, dental teams can provide care in a safer and more sanitary environment. Mounted on four locking casters, the Zerosol Air Purifier is a mobile dental aerosol extractor capable of removing fine aerosols at up to 14 inches away from the source, leaving plenty of room for dental teams to work unobstructed in a cleaner, safer environment.

Nozzle adjustments are quick, easy and responsive. No need to unlock and adjust multiple joints. Just grab, position, and go. The true HEPA filter captures 99.97% of fine particles down to 0.3μm and maintenance with off the shelf pre filters will ensurethe longest possible HEPA filter life.

The Heart of the Zerosol Purifier

The Zerosol Air Purifier boasts the highest CFM of its kind — 300 CMF at the nozzle, thanks to its strong AC Vortex motor. With such a high CFM, the inlet can be placed up to 14” away from your patient, allowing you and your team more room to work, while still capturing aerosol.

The Diameter of the Intake Hose is Key

The large diameter of the Zerosol hose is the reason for such high CFM. The unique internal design allows for immediate, easy positioning — the hose has over 6’ of reach, compared to other designs that are not as easy to position.

The Zerosol Air Purifier unit contains a pre-filter and a true HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. COVID-19 is at 0.15 microns but is contained in aerosol droplets, which is what this unit removes – the fine aerosols in which harmful contaminants are carried.

Why did we remove the UV light?

Other types of extra oral evacuation systems commonly include ultraviolet (UV) lights to complement the aerosol elimination process, but extended UV light use damages your dental equipment over time. Plus, the suction pulls air so quickly that a UV light isn’t effective at neutralizing harmful pathogens during the fraction of a second that the aerosols are exposed to it. Removing the UV light preserves the lifespan of your equipment, eliminates the potential health hazards of ozone gas and UV exposure to patients and staff, and lowers the overall cost of the dental air purification system.
